Do Your Bit
The people of the East Grinstead area want to walk along Worth Way and on Sunday 25th June that's exactly what 1200 of them did!

The march exceeded the organisers estimates and clearly showed the strength of feeling amongst local people.

Marchers gathered at the railway station, Felbridge Green and Crawley Down before converging on the historic house at Gullege. More walkers joined en route and supporters cheered the procession from bridges and homes.

At Gullege a series of speakers explained MSDC's plans in more detail and gave a valuable insight into the history and biodiversity of the area. Local media covered the event and the march was top story on Radio Mercury and BBC local news for the rest of the day.

The event culminated in a release of 1000 baloons that drifted high above the farmland threatened by the Action Plan.

The march is a strong message but it is still vital for as many people as possible to write to MSDC and explain their opposition to the East Grinstead Action Plan. Use the PRC response form or write. A sample letter is on this website's Sample letters page. The address to write to is on the Key Contacts page.
